On Jan. 12, 2021, Shenzhen Key Joint Laboratory for Pathogens was established by Shenzhen Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Shenzhen CDC) and Shenzhen Uni-medica Technology Co. Ltd.

The joint laboratory focuses on pathogen monitoring of emerging infectious diseases, gives full play to the technical advantages of Shenzhen Uni-medica in the field of infectious disease prevention and control, and the advantages of Shenzhen CDC in multi - dimensional cooperation, conducting rapid high - throughput monitoring of key infectious disease pathogenic microorganisms, providing effective support for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Shenzhen.

Uni-medical established in 2011 as a national high-tech enterprise, has been committed to the development and industrialization of the multi-group precision prevention and control system for infectious diseases and birth defects. At the early stage of the outbreak of COVID - 19, the company, based on the accumulation in molecular detection of infectious diseases, took a rapid step and developed a novel coronavirus nucleic acid detection kit and obtained registration certificate from China NMPA.
